Your breath is a tidal wave,
the rise and fall of our ribcages
rolling slowly, the bones expanding
and spreading, folding and retreating.
Your skin tastes like salt; sometimes,
I feel as old as the ocean.

Aphrodite was born from the sea,
gliding onto shore in a shell.
The delicate shell of your ear is a
roadmap to our affection, I run my
fingertips along the curl of skin
as your sigh ghosts across my face.

We are the perfect storm, a maelstrom
of heady passion and calm affection;
my heart swells like a water balloon
that we threaten to crush between us.
Your mouth traces wind patterns across
my body, drifting across the breakers of my bones.

We are the tugging insistence of the current,
the unstoppable force of the crashing water.
We have become entangled in each other,
a collision of two catastrophic entities
that will tear the shoreline to shreds.

We are building to an inevitable cataclysm.
Some of you may have read this before, since it was posted to dA and I am not sure what happened to it...

Are the images consistent? Is there anything that stands out as "not fitting"? What about word choice?

mmm (= you mention the oceans age instead of it's vastness!! I like!
